So... its been a long time since I ventured back to my blogging and my knitting. Have I've become the typical person laying around watching TV, drinking, smoking and putting off anything that requires any kind of thought pattern? Well the answer is kind of...
I've become a Myspace addict. Oh someone help me! Is there MA(myspace annoymous)or a Not-Knitting Annoymous (NKA)?
Last week I did make some progress and my intentions were all in the right place. Shana, my knitting/work/old neighbor buddy invited me and few girlies over for a Knitting party.
The two rows I successfully completed was a small but maybe a mighty leap back into my favorite meditation. *To Shana and Kim: I think we need to call our time together "Drinkin, Talkin, Smokin, Cussin, Cookin and a little bit of Knittin"
I'm still working on the shirt from Knit 1 that I started on prior to my long needed move. I'm almost embarrassed to say that... oh man no wonder I feel like I'm a nut bag, I've let the petty things in life take over my freetime.
11 steps to NKA:
1. Admit we are powerless over internet, TV, alchol, smokes, radio, work, etc - that our stash has become unmanageable with lack of knit and purls.
2. Come to believe that Knitting is more likely than Myspace Tom to restore us to sanity.
3. Make a search and fearless moral inventory of clothes for babies that are now 7
5. Admit to ourselves and to anothers the exact nature of why we have neglated Knitting and crying over all of our FROGs.
6. Ready to entirely have knitting remove all these defects of character.
7. Make a list of all people we have harmed, and become willing to make scarfs for all of them.
8. Make sweaters for people/pets wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or make them look like idiots.(hint to all dog owners)
9. Continued to take yarn inventory and when you are asked if you strayed promptly admitted it.
10. Sought through prayer to improve our conscious contact with our knitting buddies as we understand them, praying for knowledge of their knitting skills that will help us over come all other intrusions and the power to carry out the complete pattern of the ugly toilet paper doll cover.
11. Having a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, try to carry this message to all knitters and practice these principles in all Stich N Bitch groups.
This has some really cute knitting and crochet stuff:
