This weekend has been one freakin crazy time. I got to Atlanta on Thursday night... the drive from Savannah really sucks. I16 is the most boring highway known to man. No signs to read, no exits nothing but trees and road... on the drive up I hit 180,000 miles on my little Saturn... I decided that it would be cool to have a little celebration... ok I took a picture but I had a lot of time to play with it.... I think I might have to frame it and keep it for when I'm rich and driving a Mercedes...
What a relief it was when I saw the sign for Downtown...
After spending so time with the padre's I made it to my friends loft downtown Atlanta. Four of us went out to dinner to say goodbye to Wendy's old nose cause Friday morning we headed to Dr. Malony's office, awesome doctor to get her a brand new nose. Here is the before picture... yes she is a really cute girl... and I love her so much...
Here is Wendy and Robert during the "Goodbye Nose" party.
Here she is at 6am getting ready to be wheeled in... he he he, what a cool fashion statement...
So you know I really thought that this weekend taking care of her would give me a great time to work on that damn blanket.... but getting up a million times and being stopped because of changing all that nasty bandages I realized that I need to just give up!
So here I am is 2:16am and I'm awake... I have about 15 mins before I have to change her ice pack.. and our friend Bruce and Robert just left. We watched a great movie... well especcially is you have ever waited tables... here, check it out Waiting the movie.
Well here is the blanket... screwed up again so I put it down... I've learned another lesson in life... after a pain killer, a couple of beers and at 2am don't try to freakin knit... IT DOESN'T work and you will start to cry... so I've put it away until I get home!
I just saw that there is a new Knit 1 mag out... I've got to get out and get it. The cover picture is ugly as hell and I hope that doesn't really tell me what is inside.
I really wish I could find more alternative patterns out there since there is so many young knitters. Like some more gothic looking stuff. I'd like to find all the cool books and get a collection. Then even when all of it is out of style I can look back and see how cool I was. : ) I'm also looking for more skirts that are knitted and not crocheted since I haven't learned that yet....
When I get back to Savannah I'm going to post all the pictures of Wendy's surgery... its pretty funny. Right now I've got to get the ice pack changed.. a woman's work is never done.
It is better to love and lost than to be with a psycho forever.
