About ME!
I’m Rhonda, 35, loves to knit by the pale moonlit but only after stabbing mean people in the eyes… TOTALLY kidding!
I live in Savannah, GA but I am originally from Atlanta. I grew up in the downtown punk/skin scene in the 80s which was a pretty hard way of life. Never really thought I would make it older than 18 and I think it was a general consensus including my parents. There are many of my friends that didn't make it out so I guess I was lucky.
I started knitting to get myself out of a mental breakdown I was in 5 years ago when it seemed my life was in a downward spiral and I couldn't seem to get out.
My passions in life are ink, pinups, individualism, music, knitting, computers, my kitties, my family and friends. There is nothing I wouldn't do for those people I let into my life.
I've worked really hard to get my life on the right track and I knew there is something out there for me. I tried many things but it just wasn't ME. If I was going to do something it had to be what I love. How would I mix that all up into something was the challenge!
I decided that we all needed to have our own pinup contest since most do not realize how sexy and kickass most knitters are… we so are!!! I have been searching for my niche in life… something that I can be proud to say I did, then one day driving up to ATL it hit me.. Knitting Pinups!!! Why not… so here we are, starting out… and it seems to be really catching on…
A few Knit Girl Rules:
- If you are running please reframe from ballot stuffing, we all want to have a fun and fair game.
- If you take offense easily, closed minded, uptight, judgmental this is so not the group for you. If you get upset by bad words or naughty stuff you will not like this group.
- My vision is for everyone to just let loose and show the side that most of society tries to change, when we know it is the best side of us!
- Have FUN, be bad and have a shot of whiskey
Don't hesitate to email me if you have questions!
